Hahnenklee | GERMANY

Bikepark Hahnenklee is the most Northern bike park in Germany. Set in the Harz mountains, and on the Bocksberg, above the town of Hahnenklee. The park is part of Erlebnisbocksberg, and has an Alpine Coaster, a restaurant, and many other attractions, other than the bike park its self.

The bike park is here for all levels of rider, and features 7 trails built onto a 180m descent. The trails range from a 1400m Flow trail, to a 1700m DH Race track, and have everything in between. Our newest trails are the big flow trail, dubbed ‘The Hahnenklee A-Line’ and the newly cut, 2.7km long, Enduro line. These trails are unique in the Harz Mountains, in that they use more of the typography of the land, winding down the hill rather than just being straight natural trails. The Hahnenklee A-Line in mainly machine built and makes a great intermediate to advances line. The Enduro line is much more natural hand cut trail, but bring your peddling legs for this one.

The other trails on the hill include two natural “old school” DH lines, a Freeride line and an old school Northshore, to keep the adrenaline pumping. Transport is provided by either a four seater cable car, or a two seater chairlift. The park in busy, but with two lifts, the cues are never too long, and one can expect around a 10 minute wait on a busy day.

The valley station has two bike shops, one of them being our new Kona Bikes/Fox Head concept store, with many options for DH and Enduro bike rental. We also cater for bike touring, in and around the bike park. Bikepark Hahnenklee has loads to offer, for the whole family, even a Kiddies Pump track, play ground and Bagjump on the hill, for a full day of fun.

LOFSDALEN | SWEDEN

Sweden's best green trail? This easy trail is green and measures the entire 3.5 km. The trail is designed to allow everyone to get down. Perfect for beginners and families with children but also as a "getting started trail." Happy MTB Is Lofsdalens highway and named after Sweden’s largest bike forum. The trail is a blue, 2.5 km long and machine made, with 42 berms, 6 jumps, three step-up / down and 10 rollers etc. Viper Is the only DH - trail of its kind in Sweden. Large turns down a landscape full of ravines, hills and ridges. Perfect for DH riding. Viper is a machine made single-track trail with many drops and fun features. Venom is the big news this year. A machine made trail which merges with the Viper in some places so you can easily run different parts of the lines in the same ride. Venom is faster than Happy MTB, with larger jumps and larger berms.

SERFAUS-FISS-LADIS | AUSTRIA

Whizzin' and wheelin'
Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has opened up a spectacular Bikepark.

The Tyrolean village trio is an excellent holiday destination for families. Not just because it offers plenty of entertainment for the little ones – and childcare for the benefit of their parents –, but because it has a wide range of attractions and adventures for fun-seekers of all ages. The most recent example is the innovative Bikepark that opened in mid-August.

Kids, teens and adults love the new Bikepark. There is a whole map of downhill trails plus four fun zones in the area around the Waldbahn valley station: The Kids Park is designed specifically for Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis' youngest guests. Here, they can develop and improve on their cycling skills as they roll down the trails on their training bikes. Before you embark on the real thing, test your dexterity and balance on one of the easier obstacle courses in the Training Area, with simple ramps and banked turns. The remaining two zones are reserved for experts: the Pumptrack with jumps and berms and the Slopestyle area with tabletop jumps of various sizes, wooden step-up/step-down constructions and perfectly devised ramps.

As soon as you're ready for the proper mountain biking experience, the Waldbahn will take you up to an altitude of 1,830 metres. There, you have the choice between three downhilll tracks for three different skill levels: The blue Family Line covers a distance of almost three kilometres and is ideal for beginners and families. The two blue+ tracks Vuelta and Morning Glory are slightly more demanding – and exciting! – than the easy Family Line. So if you are feeling a little adventurous...give them a try! The red Strada del Sole is much more challenging. It is the ultimate freeriding track for experienced and expert cyclists, with a variety of jumps and berms. Dart or roll over the ramps distributed along the 2.6 kilometre trail at your leisure. You can make the biggest leaps on this track – if you're fast enough, that is. The most tricky trail is the black one: Hill Bill. It is approx. two kilometres long, partially covered in roots, has drops, jumps and all kinds of other challenges for the skilled freerider – including obstacles, installations and constructions with three different degrees of difficulty.

At the Waldbahn valley station, there is a bike shop and rental service as well as the bike school that offers introductory courses and advanced training with personal guides who help you perfect your cycling skills.
