Matt Harris

Matty is no stranger to the Kona family. He was raised in the Waitakere Ranges of New Zealand and one of New Zealand’s OG freeride pioneers. He now calls Squamish, BC home. He started riding a classic 2005 Stinky Supreme and has been loyal to the brand ever since. Back then you could find him at the dirt jumps with the groms, riding his Shonky. These days you’re most likely to find him in the woods with good friends and dogs, riding his Process. To him, riding is all about being out and connecting with like-minded people. Matty has dabbled in many different corners of the bike industry - from wrenching to coaching and most recently, trail building on BC’s Coastline. His career has since taken a drastic turn into NZ style ice cream. Something he can tell you more about in person. Between that, he’ll probably also talk about how much he loves his dog!
