Caleb Holonko

I'm Caleb and I'm from The North Shore in North Vancouver, BC. There's nothing like getting nasty on some hane. I love to ride all the bikes, all the time. I'm a huge fan of steep jumps and steep corners. I love to build trails and go fast. You can catch me pulling up at the trails or slapping Jerry's new loamer!

RIDING WITH KONA SINCE

2016

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE KONA IN YOUR QUIVER AND WHY?

Process X takes the cake, personally. I love how it can handle the big and small. It's my go-to for everyday riding.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

I am from and still in North Vancouver, or "The Shore".

DO YOUR BIKES REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL SETUP TRICKS TO MAKE THEM “JUST RIGHT”?

I prefer to set my bikes up stiff to help with the big pulls and impacts. There's nothing peculiar about how I set my bikes up other that PSI choices.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SEASON?

Traveling has been tough this last year and I can’t wait to get after it in 2021! I can't wait to shred with my friends around the globe.

WHO IS THE PERSON YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY?

I don't think I can whittle it down to one person, but I'll go with any of the locals who’ve made careers out of the sport we all love. They inspired me as a kid and still blow me away.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TRACK OF 2020 AND WHY?

I loved riding the upgraded Boogie Nights on Seymour, as I didn’t do much travel in 2020.

WHAT WAS THE LAST GIFT YOU GAVE SOMEONE?

A pair of push-up handles and Ab Roller, haha.

WHAT FICTIONAL CHARACTER DO YOU IDENTIFY WITH THE MOST AND WHY?

I’d have to go with Homer Simpson, I love my fresh Duff.

HOW WOULD MATHIEU DUPELLE DESCRIBE YOU IN JUST THREE WORDS?

not. a. racer.

2020 WAS A CRAZY YEAR, CAN YOU SHARE WITH US ONE HIGHLIGHT AND LOWLIGHT?

My 2020 highlight was getting the cover of Bike magazine, before it went belly up. I can't begin to describe how appreciative I am to get on the front of one of the final issues. I'm excited to see what their team has coming in the new year.
My lowlight has to be not being able to travel or compete in international events. This entire pandemic has been tough, but hopefully it'll be over soon!
